FACS Program for Homeschool Students
Be a part of our Career and Technical Education course in Family and Consumer Sciences (FACS) for the 2026-2027 school year for homeschool students grades 7 thru 12.
The course will be integrated with a Career Tech student organization called Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) where students will be able to participate and compete on the local, state and national level.
The FACS course will be parent taught using a textbook curriculum from LIFEPAC or an online curriculum from Monarch which will be supplemented with workshop labs and FCCLA activities provided by a certified FCS instructor and FCCLA Advisor at HallMakers Creative Learning Studio in Boaz, AL.
The curriculum is Faith based and uses biblical principles to help students develop positive character and self-esteem and learn to successfully navigate relationships with family, friends, and co-workers. The material also teaches life skills through lessons on food safety, nutrition, clothing, appearance, home care and hospitality, money management, daily living, child development and care.
COST FOR COURSE: Curriculum cost is paid to AOP Christian Home Schooling
Supplies for workshop labs and FCCLA are paid to HallMakers as the expenses occur.
